Generate word clouds with Wordle

I tried out the Wordle service on the Internet a few days ago. I have seen it before so I know it’s been around for some time.

“Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.”

Here’s how the word cloud looks for Wohill at the time taken.

Click on the small word cloud below for a closer look at wordle.net.

Cool service by the way and lots of kudos to Jonathan Feinberg for this. Much like the tag cloud on Wohill (to the bottom left) and as for Wohill’s tag cloud the idea is that the bigger font the more common the word is. You can also change font and color and the layout of the words, i.e. if the words is written in horizontal, vertical or other angles.
