A symbol for the snowmobile - The M. To give it the ultimate sign I used a strong animal for this - the largest member in the dog family. A dog – man’s best friend – so is the snow-machine “The M” – but the wolf shows up in many a fairy-tale as a dangerous predator…
Another aspect in all of this is that the wolf hunts in packs. This is the leader of the pack. An Alpha-dog. So it’s a dominant sign for the machine, a ferocious hunter running through and over the widths of snowy landscapes of North America and Eurasia.
The resemblances between the Snow-mobile and the Wolf are several. The head, to which I have given an Indian-design-feeling, is mostly white with outlined shadows. It is smooth and soft in its shapes and so is “The M”. The two down-pointing arrows are also integrated in “The M”. As you can see, they look like the headlights. The orange arrows are also going through the eyes of the wolf-head to give it an even more sharp and intense look. One can of course break out the two combined symbols to two signs that can be used separately for decor of the machine.
