I have been doing a lot of aquarelle paintings lately - as you might have noticed. Mainly because I brought a box containing aquarelle paints along when we went to Egypt. You might have come in contact with the type of box too – it’s from “Winsor & Newton”. They make lots of nice aquarelle boxes as well as colours for the boxes.
When I had some time over and in the mood I started painting lots of different things. Some of them I will post here as you may have gathered by now. The aquarelle paints give a wonderful flow to creating a character like this. The orange colours give nice texture and also give the cartoon extra dimensions as you can see. Wouldn’t be a bad character to have in a little children’s book – might get into that later!
This time it’s a little orange fellow I have called ”Orangie” – he is a little happy fellow that tries to do good in his neighbourhood.
