| I heard that there was a competition going on for the . They are looking for a good name and logotype. The live in the - Sweden, Norway, Finland and the Kola Peninsula of Russia. As an old tradition they have used drums and in particular one special kind of drum that has a very characteristic oval shape. The “Nåjd” used the drum. “Nåjden” was a kind of medicine-man. So I suggested that the theatre should be called “The Drum Theatre”.
I have then used the shape of the drum as a logotype. The skins on the drums often had drawings on them. That is why I have placed two “Ts” inside the oval shape. The “T” is a Sami “T” with an extra bar crossing the vertical bar. The two “Ts” stand for “Teahter Trumman”. A lot of old drawings and symbols were often written in red or dark-red. So I thought the red would be a good symbolic colour.
If you ever travel to Scandinavia – take your time and visit the Sami People.

| I am working on a logo or symbol with an “E”. I have looked at a lot of different styles and fonts for inspiration. This is an older, more authentic, style – which was inspired by a book I was looking in the other day. It was a portal or statue over a door of an old building. Leaves and circular shapes – very well made indeed.
The centre part of this logotype is made to look like a ribbon and the leaves round about are to give the same feeling as the “Ribbon E”.

| I have been off with some of my friends to play some floor-ball - a kind of indoor hockey. In Sweden it’s called “Innebandy”. It is played with sticks made of plastic and a round plastic ball. There are a lot of different leagues and series that one can play in. We have some kind of training once a week – I like it a lot and it’s very nice to run about for an hour or so - six guys chasing a ball. Even better if you can score some goals and count points and see what team won this evening.
We joined a league called SIL and play in a very low division, but it is still a lot of fun and the whole team enjoys it a lot. Someone in the team came up with the name “Shock and Awe”. They thought it would give a good feeling. I also thought the team needed a logotype. I made a cartoon-inspired skull. I made some spikes coming out of the skull as well to give it some extra edge. I have actually made a team-shirt too. I’ll show it later on.
Go go SHOCK AND AWE!

| The last month or so, I have been doing lots of interesting designs and projects. One of them is coming to an end really soon. It’s a restaurant and patisserie that is going to open at the end of October. I have designed the logotype and graphic feeling for this restaurant and patisserie.
The owner and founder of this restaurant is a highly prized chef and well known in his field. He has competed for the Swedish national team in cooking. His specialities are deserts and chocolates. His name is Mattias Ljungberg - also owner of the very well known bakery and konditori (tea-room) in Stockholm - .
The name of the new establishment is . So I was asked a couple of months ago if I could, and would, help out to design a logotype. Mattias Ljungberg has asked me to give it an feeling – but still give it a touch of today - a modern and suitable design for a place with style and quality.
I chose to use the “P” and the “N” in the name and combined them together - making them into a monogram or symbol if you want. I sketched out different versions of how dominant one would want one or the other letter. The bottom symbol is the one that is going to be used. It feels both like the “P” and an “N” with a touch of Art Nouveau. The ends of the vertical pillars in the logotype are inspired by the architectural style from 1890 – 1905.
I will post soon some more information about how “Rue du Pont Nouveau” turns out and more about what I have designed.

| Many years back a couple of dudes started a brand called .
They made and still make snowboards, skis and clothing. Two guys started dreaming and experimenting with snowboards in the beginning of the 80’ies. The two guys were Patrik Söderlund and Stefan Cederberg who later founded the very successful company Extrem snowboards of Scandinavia 1993.
I remember one of my first snowboards made by Extrem – a white board-top with the chocolate brand ”DAIM” underneath. I thought it was awesome the day I got it… It carved snow like nothing else I had ridden. A lot has happened on the board-scene since I got that board. I wish I had progressed the same in my riding-skills - but I still enjoy getting some snow under the board and I like hitting the slopes.
So this design is for the dudes at ”Extrem” – I think they could go for this symbol/logo. It says EXTR - the short version for Extrem. Now I’m not saying that it is super important to shorten the name - just giving it a little edge. It’s clean like clean carves in fresh snow. Some of the grey areas are shades because of the blue sky and sunny days. White is to symbolize the snow – of course.
In the future soon, I will post a top deck of a snowboard to match the symbol.

| The propellers on different aeroplanes have fantastic shapes. If one ever is looking for a nice symbol or characteristic logotype – I recommend the propeller. It is also nice to have a propeller on your wall instead of a painting or something like it. The propeller lets your imagination flow and really gives you lots of super ideas.
Here I have designed a three-bladed propeller. It has this aerodynamic look - straight lines and nice curves – all meeting up and making it into a stylish symbol.
This could be a super logotype for a new airline or maybe a company that just thinks this symbol shows how broad they are. A very worldwide feeling I would say!

| We have started a new project on Wohill, as you might know, called . This is a site where you can fill in your daily amount of steps and get some feedback how far you walk every day. Niklas Waller and myself also try to wear our Pedometers and count our steps every day. In the near future there will be contests and groups that you can join or start yourself. We will have a new graphic look too, making the visit there as encouraging as possible. So check in regularly - and maybe you will even want to register.
So today, Wednesday, we are going to try a longer walk. We are walking from home to Niklas Waller’s summer-house. I’m not sure of the exact distance but it is round about 30 km. Can’t start up a website about step-counting without trying it ourselves! We are looking forward to this very much. Hopefully we will succeed with out any mishaps.
The design for today is a shield or logo for our route. We have called it in Swedish “Kalvsvik Rutten” (the route to Calf Bay). That is the destination we are heading for. It will be a walk out into the archipelago with hills and trees to pass on our way. We will be walking into the sun on this yellow road.
We will try to have more events like this in the near future… and maybe some of you have some nice walks to suggest?

| Today it is getting, or has already become, very popular to walk. Not just walking of course, walking with a purpose… counting your steps. Nic and I have a lot of people close and distant that all enjoy walking around and counting their steps. They don’t count every step by themselves – they use “pedometers” – a little device that you carry around and it will count the steps that you have been walking that day. Usually you have the possibilities to set your step-length and you easily now can see how far you have been walking that day. There are lots of different recommendations about how many steps you should have done every day. The good thing is that you get out and about a bit extra every day.
Nic and I have decided to expand by starting up a website that can help you keep track of your steps and how far you have gone. Nic will tell you more about the development of this site. By the way – anyone can join.
I will be focusing on the design of the website. Together we will see how we can give you an as easy and as fun site as possible.
The logo will have to stand for us all taking steps – day after day. I think the foot itself will be a strong hint here - one foot saying it all. One can use this foot in different ways… I have tried out a few here - or rather just a few ways of presenting the logotype.
I will be off to Nic to see what more we can come up with next. The progress will be posted here on wohill – so you can see what are our latest ideas. You might even feel like getting out and collecting a few steps yourself and joining up with us!

| I want to honour and praise my dear Aunt Veronica and Uncle Douglas by making them a 40:th anniversary emblem. They have now been married for 40 years and are living in Australia near to Surfers Paradise. They have two wonderful kids, my cousins, that have flown out of the house a long time ago. I have had the possibility and fortune to come and visit many times. Some of my most memorable travels in my life. Everything from surfing with Doug to eating great meals made by Veronica. Feeling great family spirit and belonging when meeting them. One more generation has come and they too have had the great pleasure to meet these two wonderful people. I have so many wonderful memories that it would have to be a blogg it self…
A little bit about the design. The letters integrated in the middle are ”DV” for Douglas and Veronica. The white cross on the blue background is the S:t Andrews cross. Douglas and Veronica are originally Scottish. There are also pinkish wave-like symbols that are Thistle-leaves. Thistle is an other symbol for Scotland. The thistle-leaves are made slightly to resemble waves too. They do live at one of the worlds greatest surf-pots. The two deers on either side of the shield are to resemble the heritage from Scotland – they are related to the Scottish clan Crawford and one of the symbols in the Crawford clan is a deer. So I have given them one each. My uncle loves surfing every day or as often as there are some good swells coming in – so I thought that a ”Magic-board” would be appropriate. ”Magic-board” is a board that makes you catch just a few more waves than usual… Of course the board is named ”Veronica” as you may see at the tail of the board. The name Veronica means ”she who brings victory”. I think that says it all. Who then wouldn´t need a Veronica in your life.
Congratulations on your anniversary – hope there will be many more.

| The other day I was asked to help out and design a logotype for Stockholm Tourist Shop. It is going to be used outside the shop on flags and advertisements, even a webpage and for branding the signs inside the store. The logotype has to give clear signals that it is Swedish. So the colours I have used are blue and yellow – they are the two colours in Sweden’s flag. The font in the logo has to be easy to read and to understand because a lot of the customers are one-time shoppers. So there should be no doubt what is sold inside the store. White – for the font against blue really makes it stand out.
Now to the symbol - I chose to make it yellow but made a little fade to a darker yellow / or orange - getting it to feel like a sunrise. The light in the Scandinavian countries is fascinating – The days are very long and in some parts the sun does not go down. The letter ”S” is what you might see at the first glance in the logotype. It also shows the bow of a Viking ship. The top-circle is the head of the ship and the lower circle is the shield of a Viking - all to give it a Swedish-Viking feeling. If you are in Stockholm, you should pass by and get a nice souvenir.

| Now as the headline reads – there are a lot of restaurants, cafés, sushi-places and the city is full of wifi places. All these subjects have been up for questions and thoughts by Mr. T. Valentine. He has started up a new concept that he recently launched. I mentioned in my previous article: that Nic had had a chat with him and reviewed the development part of these different websites.
, , , . Kartan meaning = map.
The question is: does the client, web-surfer or viewer know that all these concepts are from the same company or that it is all thought out and handled by Mr. Valentine? A great way of strengthening a brand or string of websites / companies is to have a logo-family - a group of logos that are in some way connected or give the same feeling or vibe. Even colours give a feeling of that they somehow belong together. So if you look at all four logotypes for the different websites you can see that I have used the red ”Map-dot” as a familiarity and eye-catcher. The red often catches the eye and so do round shapes at a first glance. The red dot symbolised the Japanese flag in the sushi-version, the red dot can also symbolise wireless technology and places with the possibility to connect to free wifi, and the red dot on the cups can give the cup a coffee-brand look and vibe. Finally the last restaurant-version is a fork and knife. Here the red dot symbolises the plate.
These four versions all have in common that they have the red dot and are made in red and black on white - giving them a clean look for the viewer. But I have to say - that the most important subject the red dot stands for - is a location dot/point. Where can you find these places in the world and what kind of reviews did they get? So, just like a map-pin indicating “you are here”-dot on maps in public places… this gives you the “oh, here it is” feel!
We are showing this for Ted today. Enjoy!

| The other day my partner and very good friend Nic Waller got the honour to beta test a new webpage starting up any day now. It has several features and possibilities. One of them was informing you where there is good sushi… Or maybe just sushi - depending on the review of course. But according to Nic this was a good way to use maps and easily find the right location.
I have been in on the Asian feeling before with the – design. This time it´s more of a distinct Japanese look. So we took a look the other afternoon and realised that it maybe needed some brushing up on the logotype – which Nic mentioned for the inventor of sushikartan.se. He had already put someone to work on this issue. A day or so has gone by and I’ve been thinking a bit about the logo even though I don’t think the other designer will fail in his task. You know - just getting that itching feeling in your drawing-board saying: “Get it down on paper”. So I started out with some of the basic things that this website stands for - one of course is sushi – from Japan - also maps showing where these places are and how the majority of people actually do eat sushi. Even people from this part of the hemisphere – they eat with chopsticks.
So I have placed the in a map pattern - like something you see from a bird’s-eye view – from above - making it look like buildings on a map. The chopsticks have kept their own shape to enhance their feeling – but still making it look like streets. The Japanese calligraphy is also a feeling I try to get into the symbol too by laying them like this. The red dot symbolizes where the restaurant is placed or situated – and of course symbolises the Japanese flag. To tie up the last knot I gave the ”i” a red dot too – just in case the text part ever has to stand by itself - it should resemble the logotype / symbol. To make things clear: sushikartan = sushi-map.
Good luck with your new project – .

| I have sent in a suggestion, that you see above, to the Swedish morning-paper . It is a Coat of Arms for Mr. Daniel Westling. In my last I had started making a design for a monogram for “DW”. Just to get the feeling for what it could evolve into. In heraldic symbols one usually gives credit to other and earlier families and clans by incorporating parts of their symbols and designs. So what I have done here is put the Swedish elk under the shield – the elk or moose is said to be the king of the forest. It is also a symbol from his home-state. They have a grey shield with a red moose and blue dots – . Then I have put three circles above the shield to the left and right. They are symbols that are on the shield of his home-community – . The leaves are symbolising that his passion and work revolve around human health and care. The leaves, as you can see, are in a heart-shape – this also stands for his interest for heart and soul - but mostly the hart stands for his love to The Swedish Princess Victoria.
The crown is also surrounded by leaves to enhance the feeling of nature and well-being. The crown is a young man’s crown until the day that he and Princess Victoria possibly rule the country of Sweden alone. That would be the time to give him a bigger crown. The shield has three crowns placed in the middle. This shows his nationality – Three crowns are known as the symbol for Sweden. The shield, as I mentioned earlier, is a French inspired design to acknowledge their ancestry and history being related to the French Bernadotte name. Finally you can see the “DW”- under the crown, above the shield -Mr Daniel Westling’s monogram.
It would be interesting to hear if he, and of course Princess Victoria, enjoy these thoughts and could consider this to be a suitable Coat of Arms for Mr Daniel Westling!

| is currently seeing a Mr Daniel Westling. They have met through his company - this I, myself, haven’t confirmed – but information according to some Swedish magazine. He runs a successful training and health-club in the middle of Stockholm. It’s called and it is situated on Lastmakargatan 10 close to Stureplan, to be a bit more specific.
Last week the morning paper had an article about Mr. Daniel Westling. It was about the possibility of him and the Princess getting married. Since he isn’t royalty or born with a heraldic name – he doesn’t have a symbol or Coat of Arms. The article stated that they thought that he needed one – so this got me thinking right away. So I started out with a monogram for him. A monogram is often made of your initials – one to four is what usually is permitted as a standard. So the initials are ”D” and ”W”. I want them to feel integrated and work well together. The two letters have a nice flow and feel like one symbol instead of being two separate letters. They could be interesting to integrate into a shield of some kind. The shield would integrate into his Coat of Arms.
I started out on a shield to as you can see. The shield is designed in a French ”old-style”. I think that will be appropriate since he is marrying, if they do get married, into the Swedish Royal Family – and they are related to the Bernadotte family of French origin.
Now I’ll get back to designing the rest of his Coat of Arms.

| Nic got a character-drawing of himself and myself last time. This time I’m taking the subject a bit further. Nic needs a symbol too. This ”button-like” symbol resembles a key on the keyboard – since that is one of his main operating tools - just as the pen would be mine. To make his symbol associate with him I wrote his name through the outlined box. The corners are curved to give even more of the keyboard characteristics. I gave the box and text some more life by giving it a bit of a glowing feeling as you can see. By making an extra highlight on the top part of his name you automatically let your eyes focus on his name. This helps to understand and remember the logotype till next time you run across it - maybe on the net somewhere or even on our site. “Nics” – is written in a handwriting kind of way – which gives the feeling that his development also is very creative.
For the presentation I have given a little shadow and reflection and a line representing the horizon. The thin line gives an elegant look to it. Might even be that Nic could make some nice pins to have as giveaways on the next convention that he attends.

| After the weekend I felt like a little rougher design - a circle with an ”a” in the middle. The ”a” standing for action and the circle round about sums it up and there you have a new brand or symbol for the future – inspired by street-style and a little bit of force. I pulled out the ends of the ”a” to make it into a star-like symbol - giving the brand some winner spirit. This would be a brand selling cool t-shirts with prints and sneakers – street-wear. I also gave the design a graphic feeling – I used the words, ”circle of action”, in the background to give it some extra depth. There are some buildings in the far back too. This was to give it stronger city-vibe - so does the red in the symbol and text. So – a skate-crew or actionsport-team could be the customers for this kind of brand. It’s important that it carries out and signals the right spirit to their audience.
Another possibility: Maybe it would be more interesting if this was a coffee-bar or place for kids to hang out. Flipping burgers, serving coffee and all this in the middle of a - that would also give the name some extra value!

| A restaurant can have many different shapes and serve wonderful kinds of food. The other day I ate at for the first time. This is, as you might know, a very famous chain of restaurants. A man named Rocky Aoki started out with this idea and opened his first restaurant in the United States in 1964. They serve and make the food right in front of you. We had a very impressive “chef” cutting and preparing dinner. A chef is like a food –designer. He makes his product very pleasing to look at and intrigues you to try it. Our chef was “J.J” – thank you for a super dinner by the way. His speed and accuracy gave a solid and trustworthy presentation - really neat!
The design I did today was inspired by the meal we ate there. It is kind of an Asian feeling with a touch of big city-life. The flower gives a bit of softness and signals that it is a creative restaurant with the same finesse as the beautiful flower. The numbers I just chose randomly as I was passing by a store. They could be sliding doors that would be opening when you enter the restaurant - with a circular shape with a flower in the middle. The name gives an even more impressive touch. It is a heavy word – so I thought it could look sharp in a thin font.

| Ok – this time I have made a little logo for this occasion. A logo symbolising me flying off to go surfing. I wanted to it give the same feeling like the board-design I did a couple of days ago. I used a picture of an old board and tinted the photograph to give it a bit of a worn look. I laid the logotype text on top of the board to give it a more integrated feeling. I made the letter “g” as the symbol and gave it a sort of surf-wave on the top. The bottom part of the “g” is the turns one does coming down the face of the wave. The top circle represents the eye of the wave or also known as the tube - even though Im not that experienced as a surfer. But I do like “getting wet” just as I mentioned in a previous design I made before.
So this means that I will be surfing and hangin out in the sun for a few days. I will be back with more designs and new fresh inspiration at the beginning of March.
Off to the beach, surf-trunks and the waves.. Hang loose til then.

| The coffee trend is big and, as a drink, it has been popular for many years as I mentioned already on Friday.
The house of coffee – is this time made in a traditional font named - made by Joel Kayden and Tony Stan in 1974. I have set it, as you can see, in a different way to the last approach. It is a more-clean version - meant more for a designer caf. Still, it has a common everyday look. The mix of letters in the background gives a pattern-feeling. Even though it is a stylish coffee-place it gives a deeper look. The contour of the cup and showing the coffee in the cup also gives it a more obvious look – to help the customer understand what actually is for sale in there. One isn’t just selling, and pouring up coffee – one is selling an atmosphere and an enjoyable time.
A way of catching the essence of your product or brand is not only choosing a nice font or something that symbolizes your product, it is about finding something that stands out and is pleasurable for the eye, or easy to grasp. The general problem is often that you are going into a business that already is full of competition. So maybe you should, like in this case, use other characteristics. I used the double ”ff” to enhance the logotype this time.
I’ve been talking and designing so much now, so I’m going for one right now.

| Coffee is a globally spread and well-known drink made of beans from the coffee plant. There are very many varieties and blends of the black gold. It is said that it was first tasted and drunk in Ethiopia. The word comes from the Italian word ”Caff” which, of course, was borrowed from the Turkish word ”Kaveh” and so forth. Caff was anyway very close to how we pronounce it today. Graphically it is a nice combination of letters.
There are also some big coffee-houses and brands in the world. Everything from to Mc Caf is working its way up in the coffee-business - but don’t forget to try a standing espresso in Naples - there is something about that Italian atmosphere.
The soft ”C” in the beginning with the soft and rounded ”e” in the end of the word as well as using a ”script”-font like this - gives a very nice flow - and - I think it gives a hot beverage feeling. As if hot aroma and air are rising from a cup. I have added some extra twirls and shapes that remind you even more of the coffee look and maybe even the caf look. I have taken a picture down into a cup in the background, a tall lat by the way, to give it some colour. If you look carefully you can see the stem of a spoon come out of the glass to the right. The yellowish shade to the left is the steamed milk slightly mixed with the coffee. To add the last touch to the ”House of Coffee” I added two coffee-beans - two, because you should not just go for coffee by yourself. One bean looked a bit lonely!
Call a friend and go for a coffee.

| There are many fonts made by now, many styles and . They all need to get their message out to their viewer or reader. This time I began by starting to draw a new font, or in this case - a symbol for something starting with the letter,”K”. As you can see on my sketches in the background the letter is built using many different curves, circles and lines. Finally, I got the right feeling I wanted on the ”K” - a kind of college or University look. Maybe it would suit ? That is without taking away their ”Jayhawk”. The star I brought into the design to give it a greater state of mind - it’s the best University and it belongs to the United States. As you probably have seen it is a very common American symbol and used in ”The Stars and Stripes”. The main stem of the letter I have used as the centre pillar in the logo. The other abstract part of the ”K” is balanced by putting in the star to the left. So now the logo doesn’t tip over in any direction – it stands firm in the middle of its State.
So good luck ! | |

| Today I’m honouring two of my good friends and their promise to each other. These two people are, as you can guess, getting in February. I feel that they are two souls that have met in mid-air. They will fly together free as birds. Therefore I have chosen the two birds to be their theme-symbol. Even the two beaks meet in a kiss. The birds are two in order to represent both of them. The wings are pointed up in the sky as if it’s the beginning of a wing-flap, the start of life together. A little monogram with their initials is to personify this day. Their initials are R and N. The monogram letters are slightly twirled and are given a softness to give a more intimate feeling. The ends of the letters also turn in towards each other to return the focal point back into the middle. I placed them on a red background to give, even though it may be obvious, an association to red, the colour of love. The red is in different tones to give it some extra life. The black contour is to give a more distinct feeling. It’s a big day and it should give a determined feeling.
So my dear friends – best wishes from me.

| Varig - The Brazilian airline.
The other day I stumbled on an airline when I heard that a friend of mine was thinking of going to Venezuela. I thought it would be fun to see what airline or company he was going to travel with. Airlines, aeroplanes and airports often have very nice and sleek designs. I would say that the airlines through the years have slipped down a bit in rang compared to Airports anyway. So I’m checking out different companies to fly with and remember - Brazil’s first airline. It was established in 1927 and today is a very well known airline. My friend is still going to Venezuela, but I found Varig’s graphic profile and logo of interest. I find that their is only one symbol, or more exactly text, that they use on their website. So I felt that they should actually add a symbol to it. To get the extra exposure on everything from pins on the staff uniforms to the airplanes in the sky - or as a passenger where one would only see them on the ground. After looking a bit at their fleet of planes I actually see that they might be using the compass ”rose” on the tails of the planes.
The symbol – Is originally an arrow. I’ve also made it like a tail of a plane with the resemblance of the compass-rose on their website - to give some kind of feeling of what they are showing graphically today. The symbol also resembles the wings from a plane. I thought that would give it a nice character. It’s easy to use in both directions – left and right – forward and backward. Depending in what direction you would need to focus - for example pointing the plane in a forward direction – if you would put the logo on the tail of the plane - or on a business-card you would want to point to the card-owner’s name…

| I have been making some designs the last week that evolve round The Hancock. More exactly . If you check out their website you see that they have a very safe approach. The only thing is that they don’t have an eye-catching logo. The plain font used is stylish but would be slicker if it were worked on a little bit more.
So I took the liberty of making a new logo and text. The main thing they are selling is of course the building itself. So that would naturally be a shape to use in this corporate company. The name says very clearly what it’s all about – the building. The symbol just has to give a hint of the skyscraper. I kept one of the masts so some of the character still remains. The silhouette of the building is also portrayed. I have left an opening up to the sky to enhance the feeling of height and that the top of the roof touches the sky. More obvious part is that I’m using the initials to make the logo.
The text below the logo is almost the same as the original one. Changing logos isn’t always about changing everything. Some of the feeling that was in the old logo can make it easier for the regular client to adapt to the new logo. The text and letters are connected in different places to give a more connected look.

| An icon needs a symbol. is the capital city of France. It has come a long way from the first permanent habitation in 4200 BC. Since then the city has grown tremendously and become world famous. Romans came around 52 BC and started making the town pleasurable by building theatres, baths and temples. In the mid-nineteenth century Mr Worth started making custom-fitted fashions known as Haute couture. Fashion and trends started to bloom - maybe so much that one would even name one's daughter after this famous city - Paris.
In 1981 a young girl was born and given the name of Paris - . Today she has been and is a model, singer and business-woman. She has her own perfume and is a celebrity known world-wide. Since she is very productive, she is launching a new perfume called CanCan. A well known brandname like Paris Hilton should have a symbol. She has an italic written text on her poster for the new scent. So I have made her initials into a symbol / monogram - the letters ”P” and ”H”. They are pointed up to the right. This in western countries means that you are striving for the top and success. This goes well with her goals and intentions - still slick and thin with softness and curves to suit her different products and image.

| A symbol for the snowmobile - The M. To give it the ultimate sign I used a strong animal for this - the largest member in the dog family. A dog – man’s best friend – so is the snow-machine “The M” – but the wolf shows up in many a fairy-tale as a dangerous predator…
Another aspect in all of this is that the wolf hunts in packs. This is the leader of the pack. An Alpha-dog. So it’s a dominant sign for the machine, a ferocious hunter running through and over the widths of snowy landscapes of North America and Eurasia.
The resemblances between the Snow-mobile and the Wolf are several. The head, to which I have given an Indian-design-feeling, is mostly white with outlined shadows. It is smooth and soft in its shapes and so is “The M”. The two down-pointing arrows are also integrated in “The M”. As you can see, they look like the headlights. The orange arrows are also going through the eyes of the wolf-head to give it an even more sharp and intense look. One can of course break out the two combined symbols to two signs that can be used separately for decor of the machine.
